The mineral resources in Shanxi are abundant, so Shanxi is called "The Hometown of Coal and Iron". Datong of Shanxi is a famous city of coal in China. China Coal Museum occupies an area of 6 hectare; the total architecture area is 35,000 square meters. It boasts an exhibition hall, a academic hall, a multi-functional hall and a office building. China Coal Museum systematically exhibits geologic, mining and coal chemistry. There are also underground simulative mines, the exhibitions here are colorful and having a unique style.

take NO. 818, 822, 809 bus to get to. Or take NO.1 bus from the railway station and get off at West Station of Yingze Bridge. It is in the south of the road.
