After the great earthquake in 1976, seven sites of earthquake ruins, approved by the State Council, such as the cast steel room of Tangshan Locomotive and Rolling Stock Factory, the library of Tangshan Mining and Metallurgy College, the toilet of Tangshan No. 10 Middle School, the club of Tangshan Steel Corporation, the office building of Tangshan Ceramic Factory, the storehouse of Tangshan Food Corporation on Tangbo Road, and the moved rows of trees on Jixiang Road, are listed into the important protection projects. From these sites, you can earth and buildings were severely destroyed by the great earthquake.
