Lamai Beach is located in the eastern coast of Samui Island. It is only 2 kilometers long, favored by many tourists. The sea water there is crystal clear, with numerous coco tree forests and banana gardens. Compared with Chaweng Beach, it is quieter and more primitive there. However, bars, restaurants and entertainment venues are bustling in the evening. Tourists will also find a museum, a market, some gyms and snorkeling shops. The crystal water there provides a good opportunity for swimming and doing water sports. The most famous sight on this beach is the Hin Ta and Hin Yai Rocks (the Grandpa and Grandma rocks), which are formed naturally.
