Tianjin Patter, Tianjin

The style of presentation called Tianjin Patter has developed out of Tianjin Shidiao. It is a fast paced delivery of the performance.  The manner in which the lines of verse is structured in Tianjin Patter the performer requires both a nimble mind and an agile tongue to deliver such a performance.. While Tianjin Patter is not as strict as some other verse it does require the ability to match both sound and sense . The many alliterations in this style allows for the change of rhythm between lines, which creates a new style of art, full contradictions but presented in a beautiful rhythmic manner.
Some of the many programs include titles such as Thoroughly Tempered; Robbing Imprisonment Vehicle; Clever Goal Delivery; Forging Diamantin; Three Fights with Skull Spirit and Blazing Mountain, etc.
