In addition to three chain stores in Tianjin, Tianjin Goubuli has opened branches in Beijing, Shanghai, and Shenzhen, and even in foreign countries such as the U.S., Japan, and Korea. Goubuli is also experimenting with more than 20 kinds of buns.

i went to this restaurant in 1985 in a small side street and the shop had a small window where many people ordered the dumplings. We went inside and was shown upstairs to a dark eating area. We were met by a happy host and we ordered a large sample of dumplings with various filling as well as a large bottle of Coca Cola.We spent the next hour devouring these delicious cakes and it cost for four of us about $10 Needlless to say the train journey back to Beijing was with full stomachs and we enjoyed the day
