Chuguo Temple is located in the south bank of the holy lake, Mapangyong lake, which is at the hill foot of Gangdisê Mountains, Tibet Ngari Burang County. Among temples around the holy lake, Chuguo Temple is a relative big and well-preserved one. Though the temple is just a small one with a dozen monks, it has experienced 400 years. It is situated in a sparsely populated area with an altitude of 4500 meters where it’s cold and inaccessible. But that makes the temple mystery and attractive to tourists.
