Diao Bingshan Locomotive Museum

Brief Introduction:

Tiefa Coal Industry Group keeps twenty steam locomotives and sets up a steam locomotive museum that doesn’t have a fixed site and allows a chance for people to visit and even operate the locomotive themselves. Since 2000 when the museum was open for the first time, it has been a favorite place for the tourists form abroad and home. Each year about four or five foreign travel teams visit the museum. Most visitors are the members of steam locomotive amateur associations in the world including one in America, France, Russia, Belgium, Finland, the Netherlands, Britain, Italy, and Japan etc..

Foreign friend said that it is rare even in the world wide that Diao Bingshan keeps so many nice steam locomotives. Hence, the twenty steam locomotives Tiefa Coal Industry Group keeps deserve the title of the world-degree collections and the unique tour source is really a spectacular for tourists.

It is located in Diaobingshan City which is the county-level city of Tieling. It is 35 kilometers away from Tieling City and 96 kilometers away from Shenyang City.

There are tourist shuttle buses from Tieling City to the museum.

Tips:

As Tieling enjoys a temperate continental monsoon climate, it is very cold in winter and very hot in summer. The best time to visit the museum is in spring and autumn.
