An exquisite and fancy snuff bottle is worn on the left side of the waistband generally among men in Mongolian.It is packed in a beautiful bag made of silks and satins. Most snuff bottles are made of Jadeite, jade, agate, amber, hawksbill or fine china, etc. The lid and bottle body trim with gold and silver leaves, with coral or ruby. The lid is connected with a small spoon made of bones. The small spoon is used to scoop out snuff. More than thirty materials consist of the snuff, including tobacco leaves, mint, borneol and camphor. When people walk into a yurt or meet with each other face-to-face, herdsmen say hello and present respectfully snuff bottle as a gift at their first meeting.
