Today you will take land in the ancient city of Xi'an. Your Xi'an tour guide will introduce the history and culture on the way to your hotel for check-in.

Firstly discovered in 1974, the massive site of Terracotta Warriors and Horses has been standing as an important symbol of China's history and culture. Today you will spend some hours at this wonderful site.

After lunch in a Sichuan-style restaurant, you will stop by an art center.

In the afternoon, you will get to an important site for China's Buddhism community: Big Wild Goose Pagoda.

The sunlight breaks through the city's morning, and you will walk on the Ancient City Wall. Later, get to Muslim Quarter and discover their daily life.

The afternoon will be free on your own. Remember, you will catch an evening flight to Lanzhou at around 6 pm. At around 8 pm, you will be checking in the hotel in Lanzhou.

- Smart Tips:

• Your Silk Road adventure will start off tomorrow. Friendly note: please take some sunblock, hat, and shades to protect yourself from sunburn.
• For the last few hours in Xi'an, you can check out Great Mosque, Gao's Grand Courtyard, and Bell Tower, which are all near the Muslim Quarter.

• Breakfast, Lunch

Overlooking the Yellow River down the hill foot, Bingling Temple. Dating back to 420 AD, the temple is known for a series of grottoes filled with Buddhist sculptures. You will take a boat ride to visit this impressive site. Have lunch before we head to Xiahe.

The drive to Xiahe takes about 3 hours. Kick back and relax in our comfortable private car.

Check-in upon arrival in Xiahe.

- Smart Tips:

• There will be quite a temperature difference between day and night, so please bring some warm clothes with you.
• Xiahe is a small humble town with nothing fancy or luxurious to expect. For a real Tibetan meal with warm hospitality from the restaurant owner, Qudeng Gabu Sunshine Restaurant (or Zudonga Bbu) on the 4th floor of Qudeng Gabu Hotel.

• Breakfast, Lunch

Nomads are on the move when dry season hits the grass yet the vast Sangke Grassland is often flowing with green and numerous wildflowers. Today we will drive and stop by this spot. Later, carry on to the famous Labrang Monastery.

After lunch, your private guide will take you back to Lanzhou. Check-in and have a night to relax.

• Note: please ask for permission before you take photos of the monks or certain parts of the monastery.
• Don't want to stay in all night? There are some local night markets in Lanzhou worthy of a look-see. Xiguan Night Market in Yongchang Road, Square Night Market near the Dong Fang Hong Square, and Zhengning Night Market in Zhengning Road. Ask your Lanzhou tour guide for direction.

• Breakfast

This morning you will be free in Lanzhou. Take a noon flight to Dunhuang. Check-in upon arrival.

After a short break, you will visit the Singing Sand Mountain and ride on camelback. The dune will make a great photo at sunset.

• You have probably tried noodles in Lanzhou or Xiahe, but Mazilu Beef Noodle at No.86, Dazhong Xiang is known among the locals as the real deal of the authentic taste. A vat of boiling beef broth intends to create one of your best experiences with noodles.

• Breakfast, Lunch

Stories that were buried in the sand show themselves as the famous Mogao Grottoes. After a couple of hours, you will dig more historic gems at Yumenguan Pass and the Great Wall of the Han Dynasty.

In the evening, your Dunhuang tour guide will take you to the airport for the ongoing flight to Turpan. Check-in upon arrival.

After breakfast, you will head out to the exotic land of Turpan.

Firstly, you will dwell around the ruins of the mysterious Jiaohe Ancient Town and learn about the history of Karez Well System that is still pumping water for the locals. Try some Xinjiang local food for your lunch.

In the afternoon, you will knock on the door of a local vineyard. The owner will tell you how they make delectable wine out of grapes. A local carpet store will be the last stop for today.

The sun rises up early in Turpan. After breakfast, we will drive to Urumqi. Check-in upon arrival.

Heavenly Lake offers amazing views and a boat trip will immerse you with the breeze and sunshine. Have lunch in a local restaurant.

In the afternoon, you will get to the International Bazaar, a symbol for Urumqi's thriving days.

Today you will take a departure flight that will take you back home.
