Tongguan Pickles

The pickles produced in Tongguan County are a kind of traditional specialty. They were the tribute sent to the emperors in Tang Dynasty (618-907). The pickles looks fresh and yellow touched with red. It tastes moderately salty and a little sweet and is crisp and mellow. There are several kinds of pickles in Tongguan.
