Gufeng Litchi is famous for its “small nucleus and thick flesh and sweet taste and fragrant smell” and has an annual production of more than 1800 tons. It is very suitable for both fresh eating and processing and demand exceeds supply. The other two rare litchi categories are Jiangkou Litchi and Shatou Zoological Slowly Maturing Litchi that are produced in Jiangkou Village of Taiping Town of Teng County and Shatou Town of Cangwu respectively. As they ripe seven to ten days later than the other litchis, it is especially precious.
