Qingmingkuo, Xinyu

Early April, during the Pure Brightness Festival, a kind of green snack called Qingmingguo is sold in streets and lanes of Xinyu. This kind of food is made of Chinese mugwort (Found only in the south of China) and rice noodle. This kind of green and round food is pleasant to taste. According to record in medical book, Chinese mugwort is effective in the treatment of dispelling cold, improving eyesight, improving blood circulation and ameliorating dryness of the lungs. Qingmingguo is popular with local people.
