Pingding Dried Cucumber, Yangquan
It is mostly produced in Gougou and Hetou Villages in Pingding County. People start to produce it from the year of the Emperor Hongwu of Ming Dynasty (1368-1398). Its crisp, tasty and refreshing flavor makes it the most popular food for people. In Qing Dynasty, the dried cucumber had been appointed as the tribute to royalty which got the name of “Dragon Muscle”. The dried cucumber is made by young cucumber which is of high quality.
