The design the "Qianlong" possesses the strongest national characteristics of all the ships on the Yangtze River. The ship is built in the shape of a dragon which reflects the Chinese people's national spirit. The excellent food, beautiful accommodation and a standard of service formerly available only to the royal family make a voyage on the Qianlong reminiscent of the lifestyle and luxury that the emperors enjoyed during the most prosperous periods of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). It combines the Han people's exquisite taste with the Manchu people's boldness. The ship has several decks and many cabins. Visitors praise it as a work of art for its carted beams, painted rafters, winding corridors, marble railings and golden sculptures.

All the waiters and waitresses working on the "Qianlong" are well-trained and dress in Qing Dynasty style costumes and serve passengers with the care. The ship's dining room accommodates 180 passengers at one time.Rooms are not internet equipped and the ship has internet cafes which can be used for a fee(RMB60/hour). Its chefs offer dinners a wide variety of exquisite dishes.

There are 9,999 dragons in different shapes and sizes on board the "Qianlong". While sightseeing along the "Three Gorges", passengers can try to find the 9,999 dragons. Anybody who can locate all the 9,999 dragons will win a prize of RMB 1,000.000.

Day 1 Board the ship from 5:00pm to 10:00pm for overnight accomodation(Dinner is not included).
Day 2 Taichi exercise. Shore excursion to Fengdu Ghost City (8:00-10:00am). Captain’s Welcome Banquet Captain’s Welcome Dancing Party in Ball Room.
Day 3 Taichi exercise. Passes through the 1st gorge--Qutang Gorge. Passes through the 2cd gorge---Wu Gorge. Shore excursion to Shennong Stream(1:30pm-5:30pm). You have the option of visiting White Emperor City(RMB260 per person). Crew's Performance. Sails through the 5-steps Ship locks.
Day 4 Shore excursion to The Three Gorges Dam Site. Arrive in Yichang at 11:00am.

Upstream: Yichang → Chongqing (5 days)

Day 1 Board the ship from 5:00pm to 8:00pm and depart Yichang next morning. (Dinner is not included. Please have your dinner before boarding.)
Day 2 Taichi exercise. Passes though the 1st Gorge----Xiling Gorge Shore excursion to Three Gorges Dam Site. Passes though the 5-steps ship locks. Captain’s Welcome Banquet.
Day 3 Learning traditional Chinese Taiji boxing. Sailing through the Wu Gorge. Shore excursion to Lesser Three Gorges(8:00am-12:00pm). Sailing through the Qutang Gorge.
Day 4 Learning traditional Chinese Taiji boxing. Shore excursion to Fengdu Ghost City(8:00-10:00am).You have the option of visiting White Emperor City(RMB230 per person). Farewell Dinner.
Day 5 Arrives in Chongqing at 9:00am.
