Yantai Laishan International Airport is located 15 kilometers away from downtown Yantai, to the south of the city. There are daily flight to Beijing , Shanghai , Harbin , Jinan , Shenyang and Wuhan , and weekly regular Flights to Changchun , Chengdu , Chongqing , Guangzhou , Kunming and Shenzhen . In addition, Yantai has flights to Hong Kong on every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday and daily flight to Seoul. The airport bus leaves from the ticket office at Dahaiyang Road.

Yantai Railway Station is located at Zhifutun Road in the north of the city center. There are daily trains to Beijing , Shanghai , Xi’an, Jinan and Qingdao .

Tickets are sold at the train station or the ticket agencies around the city (such as Tianxiang Aviation Service Company at No 1 Beima Road, Feida Ticket Office at No 20 Jiashe Road,Tian, just to name two) ten days prior to departure.

The main bus stations in Yantai include Yantai Bus Station, Beima Road Bus Station, Yantai Port Bus Station, West Yantai Bus Station and Yantai Qingnian Road bus station. The Yantai Bus Station ( No. 86 West Avenue) is most used by travelers because it is the largest station and have more departures. Please find below locations of the seven major stations in Yantai:

Taxi

The main brands of taxi running in Yantai City are Santana, Fukang, Xia-li, Charades and Citroen AZs. Fee is charged based on the “brands” of the car. Generally speaking, taxi ride is charged according to one of the three methods listed below..

The cheapest one is 7 yuan for the first three kilometers, and then 1.3 yuan for each additional kilometer.

The middle one charges 7 yuan for the first three kilometers and then 1.5 yuan for every additional kilometer.

The most expensive one charges 8 yuan for the first three kilometers and then 1.8 yuan for each additional kilometer.

Public Bus

There are over 60 bus routes through Yantai proper, and the buses include omnibus, medium bus and air-conditioned bus. No. 17 bus sightseeing bus departing from Yanhai Railway Station runs along the Binhai Sight Seeing road and passes around 18 sights. Detailed bus route is as below:
