With a history of more than three hundred years, Guixi Wick Cake is made with high quality second season rice and sugar as the main raw material and also other thirty kinds of precious Chinese traditional medicines including South Eastern Asian cinnamon, clove, angelica, Chinese angelica and liquorice and so on. Among the four well known special cakes in the south Yangtze River, Guixi Wick Cake ranked as a tribute and was appraised by Emperor Qianlong as “the only one well known in the capital and the country”.
