“Maiji” Preserved Bean Curd Peanut

“Maiji” Nanru Peanut of Yunfu City enjoys a great reputation. It makes a top grade banquet snack and an excellent present. It is most characterized by plump grain and delicious taste. It selects local high quality peanut kernel. Its astringent taste is removed by soaking with traditional craftwork. Then it is soaked with spices such as five-spice powder, aniseed, preserved bean curd, garlic and scallion in pig’ bone soup. After being dried, it is placed into the pot, added with clean and thin sand and stir-fried over slow fire till they are completely dry. With sand eliminated, it will become a flavor snack with unique characteristics.
