Xingxing Preserved Plum, Yunfu

In all the mountainous regions within the borders of Xinxing, there are greengage trees. The best quality greengage is produced in Gongcheng County. It is noted for its plump flesh, small stone and refreshing and crisp taste. It also contains extremely rich Vitamin C. The preserved plum made of this greengage has large grain and thick flesh with sweetness amid sour taste. Once put into the mouth, it has lasting strong fragrance and can stimulate the production of body fluid. In full summer, infuse the preserved plum with boiled water and drink it, which will have the effects of relieving heat, wetting your whistle and stimulating the stomach. Xinxing Preserved plum is one of the famous traditional specialties in Yunfu City.
