Xishuangbanna is lovely place to stay. It's warm all year round due to its tropical climate. There are many minorities lived in Xishuangbanna. One of the major minorities is Dai people which I think has the same traditions as Thai people such as Water Splashing Festival. It's remoted but never isolated. In a word it's a place worthy a visit.
