Yunnan Nationalities Museum is located on the east bank of Dianchi, a nationally famous lake next to Yunnan Nationalities Village in Kunming City, China. Completed in 1995, it is a comprehensive Nationalities museum. Covering an area of over 133.4 thousand square meters, the building area of the museum has ocupied 130 thousand square meters. Yunnan Nationalities Museum consists of various exhibition halls, office buildings, report halls, storages and workshops. The ecological environment, religious customs, culture and arts and ethnic relics of the ethnic groups of Yunnan are all collected in it. 120,000 items in this museum are devided into 16 categories such as ethnic groups, dresses and personal adornment, technique, arts, ecology, ancient books, and strange stones etc. Among these, the large wooden sculpture, Buddha Image of Dali State, which was made on the basis of Painting Volume by painter Zhang Shengwen, attracts most gazes of people.

It is a very big landscaped garden. If there is limited time, then drop this replica of ethnical villages and explore to the real villages in the region.
