Kunming Art Theatre, set up in 1957, was the main locus for Yunnan province to hold the significant arts and cultural activities. Nowadays, it has been one of the ten landmark buildings of Yunnan. As the only keystone theatre, it has taken the responsibility of communicating tasks between Yunnan and foreign countries or other cities of China since 1950’s to today. This art theatre can perform ten kinds of songs and dances which full of distinctive national and folk features of some Southeast Asia countries and areas like HongKong, Taiwan, Japan and so on.
