Kunming 's Wujiaba Airport is 7 km from the city center. Kunming is serviced by 3 international airlines going to South East Asian post and has internal routes to 45 major cities in China. There are 8 airlines that fly the domestic routes including two tourist airlines flying inter-provincial sectors to (Kunming- Lijiang -Xishuangbanna-Kunming and Kunming-Dali-Xishuangbanna-Kunming).

The direct flight between Kunming to Yinchuan of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region takes about 2.5 hours for a single trip, with the aircraft number of Boeing 737. There are 4 scheduled Flights every week, traveling on Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. The flight from Kunming to Yinchuan departures at 8:20 and arrives at 10:50, with the flight number of MU 5831. The flight from Yinchuan to Kunming departures at 11:40 and arrives at 14:10, with the flight number of MU 5832.

How to get to the airport: it takes about 20 minutes and 15-20 yuan to go from the city center to the airport by taxi. Bus No. 52 runs from Daguan Tower via the main railway station to the airport. Also, bus No.67 runs by the north railway station via the main railway station. Lastly, bus No.78 runs between the airport and the north railway station via the municipal government building. Most of the above buses are available from 6 a.m to 10 p.m.

Tourists can also take the airport shuttle buses that run between the airport and the Civil Aviation Ticket Office at No. 368, Tuodong Road.
