Black Dragon Pool, also know as Yuquan Garden, is located north of the city at the foot of Elephant Mountain. Running from the Sifang Street for about one km along the Jade River, there is the crystal clean spring: Spring Pool, which is also called Black Dragon Pool. The spring sprays out between the stones, making a pool of about 40,000 square meters with picturesque scenery around. Along with the ancient buildings punctuated among the beautiful mountains and rivers, you will surely lose yourself in the dreamy wonderland.
The Black Dragon Pool Park in Lijiang is commonly referred as the Temple of the Dragon King. It was built in the 2nd year of Emperor QianLong's reign(1737), and then rebuilt for many times. There are many ancient buildings in the park, including Shrine of Dragon King, Deyue Building, Suocui Bridge and Jade Emperor Building and so on. Among them, Wufeng Building is the most famous, which was formerly built in Fuguo Buddhist Temple named as Fayun Attic. However, Shrine of the Dragon King is the major building of the Park.

Excellent
When I went there, the sky was cloudy and it was raining cats and dogs, so that I couldn't see Jade Dragon Mountain. However, I still enjoyed it a lot despite the weather. The water was jade-green and clear, in spite of the bad weather. A place you can enjoy even with awful weather!

I was amazed at the clearness of the lake water when I was there. It's one of the few lakes in China which is free of pollution.
