The Laiyang national forest park, with the area of 100,000 mu, 91% of them covered by the forest, is named after the broad Laiyang River and connected closely with the provincial Laiyang River subtropical rainfall natural protect area. It is a natural garden with thousands of plants such as the precious Zang Tree which is also called the living fossil, the azalea trees, the zhen bu trees, the longan trees, the red Chinese toon, the paramichelia baillonii, the Duo Banga gramdiflora, the Chinese flowering crab-apple, the orchid which has been announced for 153 kinds.
The animals here are also famous with more than 200 kinds of wild mammal and birds as well as some amphibious reptile. It is also the family of wild oxen where the Zhuawa wild oxen live. Being open since 1993, it has three walking touring roads and some attractive scenery like 'family in the trees', 'Tian Bi hunting village', the post holiday and forest holiday, etc.
