Intro to this attraction:
Most sights in the Babao Scenic Spot in Guangnan are peak clusters, peak forests and karst waterfalls. The whole scenic spot consists of four sections: Babao, Heye, Tangna Cave and Sanla Waterfall. It covers a total area of 68 square kilometers.
Most karst peaks are 50 to 100 meters high. They are in the shape of a prick. There are still some isolated peaks in the center of the basin which have a height of less than 50 meters. There are in Babao 25 rivers altogether. The limpid Babao River starts from the Hemei Lake and runs slowly from the south to the north. If you go from Heye to Bajia by ship, you will see a beautiful sight of green mountains and clear waters, villages and farmhouses. The part is 6.5 kilometers long and is called “Small Guilin”.
Mumei is an old stockaded village of the Yi people. The Yi people here are good at singing and dancing. Whenever the festival comes, they sing songs, dance dances and play their own musical instruments. In the village there are two timbals. They are the precious treasures carefully kept till now.
