The exhibition is an integration of drama, novel, historical stories, sculpture and paining. It starts on the 16th day of the first month in the lunar calendar every year. Usually, there are 12 exhibitions every year. However, during the lunar leap year, there are 13 exhibitions. The themes of the Gaotai Exhibition include ancient stories, contemporary lives, as well as folk customs. For example Liuyi Sending Message, Reconciliation Between the General and the Minister, All Men are Brothers, Flooding Mount Jinshan, Fighting against Bone Monster for Three Times, A Story in the West Hall, and so on.
