Abalone is a kind of famous and precious seafood that tastes smooth and delicious. It is also very nutritious.

In Zhanjiang, the abalones produced in Naozhou are the best because of the natural conditions there. The Himalaya orogenic movement at the end of the glacier era removed Naozhou from the China mainland plate. Along the coastline are caves and reefs where floating algae grow, the sea water becomes quiet and the water has a temperate temperature and salt degree, which make a perfect place for abalone to grow.

In the ancient time, the abalone is the tribute paid to the court. Nowadays, it is an important dish at the state banquet.

Tips: The abalone is expensive, and it is sold at 400 yuan per jin (500 grams).
