The Overseas Chinese Hotel Hangzhou was opened in 1959 and refurbished in 1998. It's located right on Hangzhou's West Lake. The rooms at the front have great views over the lake. The Hotel is only 4km from the Railway Station and 30km from the airport. The transport facilities here are also good. The Overseas Chinese Hotel Hangzhou boasts a total of 200 rooms, all of them are simple yet tastefully decorated and well equipped. The Heli Restaurant is affording deluxe dishes in Guangdong-style. The New Banyan Restaurant offers local dishes in Hangzhou style. The Overseas Chinese Hotel Hangzhou also has a lovely sauna, a shopping arcade, a small cafe and fitness facilities. Right next door (but not within hearing range!) is the most happening bar in the city, the "Paradise Rock".
