Brief Introduction of the City

Huzhou is one of the birthplaces of the world’s silk culture. The silk fabrics, which were unearthed in the site of Qianshanyang in the suburbs, are one of the most ancient silk fabrics that have been found up to now. It has a history of more than 4700 years.
