Brief introduction to the scenic spot:
It is the residence of Lu, who is the distinguished family in Wuzhou. Lu’s Residence is a multi-linearity building. Among all buildings, the main one is Building “Suyongtang”, which is located at the north street. It parallels with Building “Shidetang” and “Dafudi” to the east, parallels with the east, middle and west axis of “Shijinqidi” to the west, Building”Wutaitang” to the north. At the south street, there are Building “Zhushidi”, “Wuyuntang”, “Bingyutang”. Many of buildings were built in the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). Building “Suyongtang” is the public hall for the whole family of Lu. It is the main axis at Lu residence, therefore, the scale and position of “Suyongtang” tops No. one among those of Lu residence. There are three main rooms at Building “Suyongtang”, also with one small room at the right and left respectively. “Songyongtang” was built with high-quality wood, exquisite carvings, which greatly shows the excellent wooden carving skill in Dongyang. Lu’s Residence is one of the largest-scale ancient buildings of the Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1616-1911) Dynasties in Zhejiang province.
