Began to be built in the second year of Xian ping Emperor of Song Dynasty (999 AD), it was completed in 1002. Designed in pavilion style and with brick structure, the tower is with six sections and is hollow in the middle part. You can climb the top of the tower. The eave of the tower is gentle; the roll grass was carved on the appearance of the iron tower and the curve was smooth. You can also see the red painting about flying to heaven. The four Chinese words, “Yanqing Temple Tower”, written by Sha Menghai, were carved on the front plaque.
