Tianhe ecological scenic area relies on the natural landscape, taking the cultural essence of Taoism and Taiyue as the connotations and is featured by green mountains and water, exotic peaks and stones, flowing streams and flying waterfalls, primitive forests and modern amusement.
The Tianhe scenic area has six curved streams, eighteen majestic peaks, twenty eight gullies and seventy two waterfalls. It is well known for "steep peaks, quiet valleys, wonderful water, exotic stone, mysterious roots and fantastic mists" and leaves tourists from home and abroad who come to visit it in admiration of its beauty and uniqueness with its "primitiveness, mystery, wildness, majesty and oddness". It is composed of eight scenic areas, including "Dasong Street Valley, Double Peak National Forest Park", Flying Dragon Lake, Water Village in the Dream (Water Culture Theme Park), Wang Jiaran Mountain Village Scenic Area, Ye Ao Modern Agriculture Sightseeing Garden, Shanyang Revolution Memorial Area and Wanghai Hillock. The scenic areas, which have already been completed and opened at present, are Dasong Stream Valley, Double Peak National Forest Park, and Flying Dragon Lake. Built before May of 2004, the Tianhe scenic area is a first-class comprehensive tourist resort in East China, which blends sightseeing, amusement, leisure and vacation, camping and expedition, and ecological education into one.
Grand Valley of East Zhejiang -Dasong Stream Valley
Dasong Stream Valley is one of the most magical and splendid scenic areas of the Tianhe ecological scenic area. On both sides of the stream, the mountains and rocks are steep and dangerous. In the stream are deep pools and rapid currents. There are exotic stones all over and flying waterfalls dropping straight down. Since ancient times, the area has been sparsely inhabited and very few take a risk to climb the mountains. It is an ecological green valley, which has slept for a thousand years, and a virgin land of primitive wildness.
