The threadlike radish is the famous traditional dried vegetable dish in Quzhou city, with over 1000-year history. It is mainly produced at the villages of Lin family and Hong family in Gaojia town. It has gained great reputation since the year of 1930. In 1982, the dried radish started to export to international markets, such as Hong Kong , Malaysia, Singapore, etc. The threadlike dried radish of Gao family is divided into 4 kinds, among which are the winter threadlike radish, the spring threadlike radish, the rain threadlike radish and the fog threadlike radish. The most famous one is the winter threadlike radish, with a white color. It becomes the light yellow color after long preservation. The dried radish has the features of fragrance, sweetness, softness, and tenderness, and is the main material of Baoba dish.
