Peach Blossom Island

The Peach Blossom Island has a complete set of tourist resources and rich human landscapes. The scenic resort and historic site, which covers an area of 31 square kilometers, has the six scenic areas of Peach Blossom Valley, Grand Buddha Rock, Tower Bay Golden Sand, Anqi Peak, Suspended Partridge Island and Peach Blossom Harbor. It has 12 landscapes and more than 60 scenic spots in all. Among them the Shediao Film and Television City is the sole sea island film and television base in our country; the Anqi Peak is the first highest peak in the Zhoushan Island complex; Peach Blossom Harbor is the first deepest harbor in Zhoushan; the Grand Buddha Rock is the first largest Rock along the southeast coast; the White Sparrow Temple is said to be the place where Kwan-yin assumed the calotte and practice Buddhism; there are also Peach Blossom Stockade, Peach Blossom Formation, Peach Blossom Association, Peach Blossom Rock….  The green sea is full of sentiment and the grass and trees lend delight. It is the “fairy mountain on the sea and a cloud cuckoo land”, which lives up to its reputation.

The scenic area of Peach Blossom Stockade is invested and developed together by the Nanyuan Restaurant, Co. Ltd. and the Peach Blossom Tourist Development, Co. Ltd. It is located in the east coast of the Peach Blossom Island. The area has the most graceful natural environment on the island. With a total area of 3.6 square kilometers, the scenic area is composed of three parts, namely, Peach Blossom Stockade Leisure Village, Huang Yaoshi Mountain Village and Coastal Natural Landscape. It has curved coastline, scattering reefs, intruding exotic rocks and rugged strange stones. Tourists may climb up to the mountain top to admire sea landscape in the distance and appreciate sun rise in the morning. The main scenic spots include Magic Pearl in East Sea, Tanzhi Peak, Shendiao(Supernatural Eagle) Rock, Turtle Patrolling the Coast, Bashful Kwan-yin, Pearl Refining Cave, Rising Tides in Green Sea and Peach Blossom Pond, etc. Every scenic spot has a beautiful and moving legend. You will feel as if in the Peach Blossom Mountain Village exquisitely decorated by the master of the Peach Blossom Island Huang Yaoshi.

The tourists inside and outside the province may take local shuffle buses or flights to Putuo (Shenjiamen) of Zhoushan first, then change for Duntou Wharf of Shenjiamen to take “Jin Yong ship”, “Taohuadao (Peach Blossom Island) ship”, “Shenlv (A Couple of Chivalrous Swordspersons and Their Supernatural Eagle) ship” and board the Peach Blossom Island. Shenjiamen-Peach Blossom Island ferry schedule inquiry： 0580-6061504 Tourists from the districts of Ningbo may take shuttle buses at the North Coach Station to the Peach Blossom Island or take the Guoju automobile ferry there. Self-drive tourists may drive directly to the Guoju wharf in Ningbo and ferry the car to the Peach Blossom Island. They may also get to the Banshengdong wharf of Shenjimen by way of the Auto ferry line from Ningbo Baifeng to Yadan (Duck Egg) Mountain, and then ferry boat to the Peach Blossom Island from there. In this way, tourist can take a relaxed driving tour around the Peach Blossom Island.
