Shiqi chickens (Shalan chickens), Zhongshan

Shanlan chickens were raised in Shalanyu market of Sanjiao Town, so they are also called “Sanjiao chicken”. For the reason of being transferred from Shiqi District , this kind of chicken are called as “Shiqi chickens” as well. Chickens of this breed are famous for their tender flesh, rich flavor and middle-sized figure, and because they are especially suitable for making soy tender chicken so they are quite popular in some cosmopolitans such as Guangzhou, Hong Kong and Macau.
