Huangshan

The Yellow Mountains, Yungu Cable Car (up) and West Sea Grand Canyon

Start your trip after breakfast, with 1-hour drive to Mt. Huangshan (known as Yellow Mountain), take a cable car from back hill ride up to the mountain top, trekking along the mountains covered by verdant trees, jagged rocks of grotesque shapes. Take an easy route to the West Sea Grand Canyon from first ring to second ring. If your physical permit, follow the path going down with lots of steep stairs to the bottom of valley, up hill by a monorail, the view is amazing!

Good to know:

For safety consideration, The West Sea Grand Canyon closed every winter from December. 1st to March. 31st due to snowy weather. We take the route to the Bright Summit and Flying-over Rock instead.

Hongcun Village, Sunrise and Yungu Cable car down, Learning Bamboo Weaving Craft at Nanping Village (1.5-2 hours)

Get up early today to take a glimpse of sunrise from the edge of clouds. Your guide will check the weather forecast and time for sunrise next day, times may various depends on seasons, pre-sunrise it is totally dark and often very cold so you would probably select a sunrise location that is near your hotel. Go downhill by cable car, head to Hongcun Ancient Village for a culture experience. Hongcun – China’s living heritage listed by UNESCO for its beauty and largely undeveloped Hui-style architecture with white walls and gray tiles.

There is a well-preserved old village that 20 minutes on roadway from Hongcun – Naping Village, renowned for bamboo handicraft, Knock to a local craftsman’s door in the afternoon, he would like to show you bamboo weaving skills and teach you how to use bamboo chips to make different animals shapes. Stay overnight in Pig’s Inn in Bishan Village near Hongcun, where next day activities start from, it was a renovated deserted house as it was a merchant’s mansion from the Ming Dynasty.

Huangshan Departure

Rural artistic Utopia:Bishan Escape Tour, Local snack making(rice peach), Hotel to airport Transfer (Huangshan)

Today’s rural artistic Utopia-Bishan escape tour will highlight your trip in Huangshan. Bishan Village is an untouched small village full of artiest atmosphere via its architecture and idyllic rural scenery. Start the trip from Pig’s Inn, take a walk or cycling pass by the Pig’s Inn chain hotel which was rebuilt base on an old oil workshop, a supply and marketing cooperative, an old-school barbers’ shop, and stop for a cup of coffee at a coolest countryside bookstore, your guide is a good story teller today, she/he will retails the illustration of stories behind the buildings and Bishan rural Utopia plan.

Continue the trip in the rural countryside and enjoy breathtaking views along way, last stop at a famous brewpub, taste a glass of local homemade beer or rice wine for refresh.

You will have a special arrangement at the pub for making a local delicacy – Sticky Rice Cake, learning from rice milling, mounding into a peach shape, steam and taste your fruit of labor, have fun!

Transfer to Huangshan Airport later today, and catch your onward flight.
