1

Shanghai Arrival

Today’s tour starts from your hotel in Shanghai in the morning, we headed to Yuyuan Garden, a piece of old-world China nestled in a bustling modern Chinese city, also famed as the best instances of the art of gardening.

Walking Route (2.4 km): The Bund - Yuanfang Allaway - Fuzhou Road - Taste Local Delicacy in a Michelin-starred Restaurant Da Hu Chun - Take a Ferry Cross Huangpu River to Pudong - Panoramic in Shanghai Tower. Detailed as below:

Take an in-depth explore the profound history of Shanghai. Your local guide will lead you to trace the clues starting from The Bund, the historical buildings-most with a unique story of their own look, and you will see features hidden in the buildings that highlight their age.

The small alleyways behind the historical building are the Shanghai versions as the Beijing Hutong, learn the real life of locals and shanghai changes from those alleyways to high-rises.

Walk to a Michelin-starred restaurant near the bund, take a rest and taste some Shanghai delicacy. We buy you a cup of takeout office and continue to the next stop.

Get on a ferry ride cross the Huangpu River to Pudong to see the architecturally dominant Oriental Pearl TV Tower and nearby Skyscrapers that makes great photo opportunities of the skyline. We take a walk to the Shanghai Tower, an elevator takes you up to the sightseeing floor, enjoy a bird-eyes view of Shanghai City.

Shanghai

Zhujiajiao Ancient Town

See different side of Shanghai by visit nearby water town of Zhujiajiao, takes one hour drive from Shanghai city. The hundreds year old water town has many stories to tell, you will walk through small lanes to see the Qing and Ming dynasty houses, take a gondola ride on ancient waterway and say hi to locals, savor your taste buds at local restaurant.

Remarks:

  • The tour includes four attractions: Tongtianhe (an ancient pharmacy), the historic Great Qing Dynasty Post Office, Humanistic Museum and Kezhi Garden.

Shanghai to Zhangjiajie by Air China CA3203 (Shanghai pudong Airport T2 - Zhangjiajie Hehua Airport) Dep 10:05 - Arr 12:40

Fight to Zhangjiajie early in the morning, meet your Zhangjiajie guide in the airport then transfer to Zhangjiajie National Park which is located in Wulinyuan Town. The large-scale scenic park that you need to spend two days for visit. Take a t a 20-minute walk and take a shuttle bus (around 15 min) before you arrive at the cable car station.

Hop on the cable car ride up to the mountain top in Yangjiajie, which is a area for sunset views with narrow and towering natural walls of rock.

Lunch arrange in the local restaurant for Tujia minority flavors.

Zhangjiajie

Spend a whole day explore the other sites in Zhangjiajie National Park. Visit Yuanjiajie Scenic Area by taking Bailong Elevator up to the mountain top. This glass elevator counted as the highest of its kind that was built on the side of a cliff.

Wonder around Yuanjiajie Scenic Area, famous and popular for its Hallelujah Mountain, named after Avatar's floating rocks. Sites you can see here includes No.1 Stone Bridge in the World, Hallelujah Mountain and Viewing Bridge Platform.

Continue your trip to Tianzi Mountain, people say it was the best photography spot in Zhangjiajie for the reason of this area is the highest, at 1,190 meters (3,878 feet), and it offers the best chance of photographing the sea of cloud from above, especially in spring and early autumn. Take the cable car down from Tianzi Mountain station after tour.

5

Zhangjiajie

Today’s tour starts from Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon Glass Bridge, measure 430 meters (1410 ft) in length and 300 meters (980 ft) above the valley. The bridge designed as glass-bottomed and transparent, allowed carry up 800 visitors at a time.

Going down to visit the Grand Canyon, have a nice hike around natural places.

Visit Bao Feng Lake on the way from Grand Canyon, a bus that takes you drive through a curvy road to the boats, takes a boat ride about 30 minutes and is quite scenic.

Remarks:

  • Zhangjiajie Glass Bridge: To prevent big heavy objects falling and make damage to glass, camera is not permitted to be carried when you on the bridge, cellphone or gopro are allowed.

Zhangjiajie Departure

Tianmen Mountain National Forest Park is characterized by large, limestone mountain tablelands with sheer cliffs and with a fair share of jagged peaks.

The cable car takes 30 minutes from the city center to the mountain top and is the longest cable in the world. The ride goes pass over couple of villages.

There is cave and walk up 999 steps to reach there, and take escalators down to the cave A thrill walk on Tianmen Mountain Glass Walkway will highlights this trip. Jutting out from a sheer cliff at 1430 meters (4691 ft) high. 60 meters (196 ft) long glass walkway offers sightseers terrifying thrills and birds-eye view of the mountains, it been compared to the Grand Canyon 'skywalk' in Arizona, USA.

Transfer to Zhangjiaje Airport after tour for catch your onward fight.
