Harbin’s New 72-Hour Visa-Free Policy

On August 1, 2015, the northeastern city of Harbin has become the China’s latest city with 72-hour visa-free entry for 51 countries’ transit passengers, who have onward flights to a third country/territory.

It is the 15th city in China to implement the policy, following Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Xi'an, Kunming, Chengdu, Chongqing, Shenyang, Dalian, Guilin, Hangzhou, Wuhan, Xiamen, and Tianjin.

Harbin Attractions

Harbin is the capital of the northeastern-most province of China, Heilongjiang.

Famed as the Ice City, Harbin is well known for hosting the annual International Ice and Snow Festival in winter. There are many places to visit in Harbin, like Sun Island Scenic Area, Yabuli Ski Resort, Central Street, Siberian Tiger Park,and Volga Manor.

In summer, Harbin is also an ideal place to avoid summer heat.
