Although Shanghai World Expo has pasted for four years, it’s still a hot topic for people to talk about, and a number of pavilions are still magnets for visitors from all over the world owing to their unique designs and impressive exhibitions, highlighted by the Chinese Pavilion, Saudi Arabian Pavilion and Italian Pavailion. Now let’s explore their beauty one by one, starting with the Chinese Pavilion.

Chinese Pavilion

Themed the Chinese Wisdom in the Development of Cities, the magnificent Chinese Pavilion is decorated in red to create a festive atmosphere, which is in the shape of a tower narrowing from top to bottom, fully reprenting the undulating spirit of Chinese people. The three- storied Chinese Pavailion is 69 meters (226 feet) tall, standing on the top of which offers visitors a fine view along the banks of the Huangpu River.
The Chinese Pavalion is composed three exhibit zones, Exploring the Oriental Trace Exhibition Zone on the first story, Revealing the Searching Journery Exhibition Zone on the second story and Collecting Low -Carbon Action Exhibition Zone on the third story.

The Exploring the Oriental Trace Exhibition Zone focuses on showing Chinese wisdom in the development of cities in the forms of some strikingly different items, among which a film vividly shows the valuable experience in the development of Chinese urbanization, the Chinese people’s passion to building cities and the Chinese people’s expectation in the future. The national treasure Riverside Scene at the Pure Moon Festival (a painting by a famous painter, Zhang Zeduan from the Northern Song Dynasty) is also exhibited in the pavilion, which conveys wisdom employed in building cities by ancient Chinese people.

The Revealing the Searching Journery Exhibition Zone is an ideal place for visitors to comprehend the wisdom of China’s city planning by taking an orbital tourist car, during which visitors can appreicate the wood-structured architectures, arch-bridges, courtyards, gardens and bucket arches.

The Collecting Low -Carbon Action Exhibition Zone shows the future of Chinese cities and the ways taken by Chinese people to face challenges of urbanization, and the Inspiration Spring symbolizes Chinese traditional philosophical idea -harmony between man and nature.

The Chinese Pavilion serves as the Chinese Art Palace after 2010 Shanghai World Expo, which dedicates itself to collecting, exhibiting and researching the modern works of art.

Saudi Arabian Pavilion

Saudi Arabian Pavilion resembles a crescent boat hanging in the air, which is dotted with 150 date palm trees on the ground and on its roof, and it’s just like a hanging garden in the desert.

In additionl to introducing the geographical condition, population, history and politics of Saudi Abrabia, the Saudi Arabian Pavilion focuses on demonstrating four types of cities, City of Energy, City of Greenery, City of Ancint Culture and City of New Economy, which fully shows that water, oil and knowledge are the bases of Saudi Arabia. A huge 3 -D cinema is also available in the pavilion, where various kinds of art preformances are often held.

Now Saudi Arabian Pavilion is renamed Arabian City, which themes the vigor of life, and it has attracts over 5 million visitors since its inception in 2010.

Italian Pavilion

Occupying an area of 3,600 square meters (38,750 square feet), the Italian Pavilion is 18 -meter (59 feet) tall and composed of 20 functional modules, which themes the City of Humans -Living an Italian Lifestyle.
The Italian Pavilion itself is just like a micro-city of Italy, which is dotted with lanes, coutyards, squares and paths, and it fully displays the rich civilization and romantic lifestyle of Italians.

In addition, visitors can also watch performances by the skilled Italian tailors, smiths and violinists, and the world top racing cars, internationally renowned fashion brands and famous painting of Italy are also exhibited in the hall, adding much luster to the world expo. After Shanghai World Expo, the world-famous auto producer Ferrari Company stations in the Italian Pavilion.
