Top 5 Things to Do in Zhangjiajie

Zhangjiajie is famous for its amazing natural wonders. It is characterized by tall mountains with multiple, jagged peaks and pristine rivers, lakes and forests, and is often referred to as a geological park. Now, let’s learn some details of its top attractions one by one.

With its classic rocky tower scenery and natural wonders, Zhangjiajie National Forest Park has become an adventure spot for increasing numbers of travelers. Here are three things not to be missed in this area:

1) Taking a cable car up to the Avatar Hallelujah Mountains in the Yuanjiajie area.
2) Seeing the cloud and mist at the top of Tianzi Mountain.
3) Visiting the Old House Area between Yuanjiajie and Tianzi Mountain to experience the lesser-known beauty of nature and folk culture.

The park offers stunning views with unique mountains, refreshing air and clear water, however, watch out for the wild monkeys! Hold on tight to any bags and do not have any food poking out of pockets or in your hand, in case wild monkeys come to look for food- yes, they may “rob” you.
