Bintan Island is the largest island of the Riau Islands. As early as the 15th century, in the historical records of Zheng He's voyage to the Western Ocean, Bintan Island was mentioned. (Zheng He (1371–1435), was a Chinese mariner, explorer and diplomat who commanded voyages to Southeast Asia, South Asia, the Middle East and East Africa). Because it is located near Singapore, which takes only 45 minutes by ferry, Singaporeans regard it as their backyard garden and visit there as tourists. Bintan Island is three times the size of Singapore, but the population is only one tenth that of Singapore. When you step on Bintan Island, the dense tropical plants, silver and continuing beach, the crystal South China Sea, international holiday resorts and a series of relaxing holiday activities make the vacationers feel refreshed and pleasant immediately.

On Mintan Island, you can play golf and various water sports, including taking part in the adventures of discovering nature, learning the primitive angling from local villagers and going sightseeing by shuttling the water area on boats. If you are into local customs and traditions, you can visit the yellow pear plantation to see how the farmers cut the rubber trees to get glue liquor or watch the local women make handbags and other handicrafts by tangling pandan leaves. If you like adventuring, you can take a speedboat on the river course for several hours. Besides, you can also observe those poisonous snakes, lizards, kingfishers and so on closely. They might be crawling on the tree branches above your head. You will never feel boring there.

After the sightseeing and experiencing th excitement, don’t forget to go to a SPA at the spa center to relax yourself and feel the calmness and peace of Mintan Island. At Mintan Island, you can know the time from the coconut trees. Throw away your watch, forget about time and indulge yourself in this fairy land.
