Myanmar enjoys a tropical monsoon climate with the annual average temperature of about 27 ℃. It has a moderate climate and four pleasant seasons with distinctive natural scenery. The lowest temperature falls in January with the average temperature of over 20 ℃. April is the hottest month of the year with the average temperature of about 30 ℃. The rainfall ranges from 500 to 1,000 mm in inland regions and the rainfall ranges from 3,000 to 5,000 mm in the mountainous regions and the coastal areas. Burma is surrounded on three sides by mountains. As Myanmar enjoys a tropical climate, it is generally hot and humid. The weather in the mountainous areas is relatively cool. The cool seasons last from October to the following February with the temperature ranging from 15℃ to 24℃. The hot seasons fall from March to May with the temperature ranging from 25℃ to 33℃. The rainy seasons are from June to September.
