Macau Tower
Covering an area of 13,363 square meters, the 56 -storied Macau Tower has become a famous landmark of Macau since its completion on 19 December of 2001, and it combines sightseeing, conference, recreation and entertainment perfectly as one.
Designed by famous architect Gordon Moller from New Zeland, Macau Tower was funded by Hong Kong casino billionaire Ho Hung-Sun, and it started building in 1998 and was open to the public in 2001.
Highlights of Macau Tower
With 338 meters (1,109 feet) tall above the ground, Macau Tower is taller than the Sky Tower in Auckland and AMP Tower is Sdyney, and it boasts of being the tallest of its kind in Asia.
The 61th story serves as an outdoor sightseeing corridor for visitors, the 60th story is a revolving restaurant, the 59th story is a hanging bar, the 58th story is ideal for sightseeing and the 57th story is famous for its Rambling in the Air. The first story serves as Macau Tourist Exhibition and Sightseeing Center, and the second story is the Tourist Tower Theater, attracting thousands of visitors each night for its fantastic performances.
At 233 meters (764 feet), Macau Tower's tethered Skyjump and Bungee Jump from the tower's outer rim, boasts the 2nd highest skyjump in the world, which is just second to Las Vegas' Stratosphere Skyjump. Standing on the 58th story offers visitors a panoramic view of Macau, which allows visitors to overlook the fine views of Zhuhai and watch Hong Kong night scene on a clear day.
Visitors can fully taste delicious delicacies and snacks from Portugal, India and Macau in the revolving restaurant of the 60th story of the tower. - For those visitors who have heart diseases, you’re recommended not to participate the Skyjump and Bungee Jump activities.
- Visitors are highly advised to take souvenir photos on the 58th story.
- For those visitors who are are scared of heights, you’re advised not to climb the tower.
