Your international flight will land in Beijing. Our Beijing tour guide will welcome you at the arrival hall, and then your driver will transfer you directly to your hotel in a private car.

Your guide will help you check in at the hotel. Have a good rest to recover from jet lag and welcome to China!

• Breakfast and lunch

Firstly, walk on Tian'anmen Square, which is the largest city square in the world. Later, have a Chinese lunch and take a short break.

Your tour guide will help you explore the Forbidden City, to discover the deep secrets of the emperors and concubines of the Ming and Qing dynasties.

Later, head to the old part of Beijing. You will take a relaxing visit to the Temple of Heaven, where Chinese emperors used to worship God with their sacrifices.

Dinner recommendation: Roast duck meal at Beijing Si Ji Min Fu Restaurant.

• Breakfast and lunch

After a fresh breakfast, we will set off to discover the less-crowded Mutianyu Great Wall section which is about a 1.5 hours drive from downtown Beijing.

A cable car will take you to a good section (avoiding a very steep climb), where you can walk along the wall, through the watchtowers, and enjoy superb views as it snakes across the hills and mountains.

You will get down by cable car and then transfer to the city center, continue your trip to the Hutong area, walk through the narrow alleys, as well as visit a local family to discover the traditional lifestyle. You can also ascend the Bell Tower to have a bird’s-eye view of the hutong area. The total walking distance on this tour is about 800 meters.

Free time to explore ideas

• A Chinese massage will be a cure for your tired body after the Great Wall hiking and you can get to know the essence of Chinese traditional massage.
• In the evening, you can enjoy an exciting Red Theater Beijing Kung Fu Show.

We will zip around the Summer Palace, a vast complex of gardens, lakes, and palaces that served as a retreat for emperors during the Qing Dynasty.

Take a 5-hour High-speed train from Beijing to Xi’an to feel Chinese speed.

Free time to explore ideas:

• Walk around Muslim Square to find typical Xi’an food. Imagine pita bread with lamb and Chinese noodles!

First, you will discover the wonder of ancient China: Terracotta Warriors and Horses. The first emperor of China - Qin Shi Huang, had his tomb built along with thousands of clay warriors, horses, and battle chariots in hopes of ruling his afterlife world.

Lunch at a local restaurant.

Back to the city, you will stroll around the Ancient City Wall and enjoy the sunset on this over 600-year-old wall.

Fly from Xi'an to Chongqing

We will go to Chongqing Zoo to see cute giant pandas.

After a Chinese lunch at a local restaurant, we will go to Ciqikou Old Town. This lively old area has been partly restored and remains an authentic and busy community.

After the visit, you will be transferred to the Chaotianmen Port for embarkation. Boarding time at between 17:00 and 19:00

You have been advised to find typical food in Shanghai's old streets and don’t miss the taste Nanxiang soup dumplings.

You will experience the ancient and modern sections of Shanghai in a day.

After breakfast, we will In-depth Bund Culture Discovery to get a taste of 1920s Shanghai. Have a bird's-eye view of Shanghai at the top of the Shanghai Tower. There, you will take the elevator and enjoy the vertical ascent to the 118th observation floor in 55 seconds.

Have a visit to Yuyuan Garden, a typical Suzhou-style garden. Later, carry on the tour at the French Concession.
