Transfer to Hohhot to Wulanchabu. Arrive and check into your yurt, then enjoy a warm Mongolian welcome with traditional wine. During your stay, watch Mongolian singing and dancing, and join an evening bonfire party.
Visit Huitengxile Grassland, 135km east of Hohhot and 80km from Jining. This grassland sits over 1,800m above sea level—its Mongolian name means "cold plateau". It has over 90 natural lakes, plus cliffs and cascading springs.
Tourists can ride horses (1hr options), try archery, watch wrestling, visit herdsmen’s homes, and join open-air singing and dancing. Local treats like milk tea, finger mutton, and roast lamb are also available.
Last to Zhadaqi Volcanic Geopark, explore the well-preserved volcanic landforms, including craters, lava flows, and uniquely shaped volcanic rocks. Hike to the summit of Volcano No. 3 to enjoy panoramic vistas of the volcanic cluster — a popular photography spot.

Nestled in Huitengxile Grassland, Huanghuagou (“Yellow Flower Valley”) is a 10km-long, 300m-deep valley carved by ancient glaciers. You’ll watch song-and-dance shows that reflect local culture and daily life.
Here, you can admire natural wonders—strange rocks, unique peaks, colorful alpine meadows—and explore relics like the Qin Dynasty Great Wall ruins and Upper Paleolithic rock paintings (50,000–12,000 years old).

In dry weather, dunes emit bugle-and-drum-like sounds when people slide down—earning its name. It boasts sweeping, spectacular desert views with endless, rustling dunes.
Travelers can spend half a day to a full day here, joining a variety of fun desert activities.

First, visit Wudang Monastery (with scenic car included), one of Inner Mongolia’s oldest Tibetan Buddhist monasteries, known as the "Little Potala Palace" for its grand Tibetan-style architecture, ancient temples, and colorful prayer flags.
Next, depart for Hohhot by private transfer. Explore Zhaojun Tomb – the tomb of Wang Zhaojun, a symbol of Han-Xiongnu harmony. Admire the "Green Mound" and learn about her story of promoting ethnic unity.
End the day at Saishang Old Street – a pedestrian street with Ming-Qing architecture, where you can shop for Mongolian handicrafts, taste local snacks, and experience the old charm of Hohhot. Check into your selected hotel in Hohhot for the night.

Highlights include the dinosaur fossil exhibition and the display of Mongolian yurts and daily utensils. Please note that the museum is closed on Mondays, so adjust your visit accordingly.
After the visit, transfer to Hohhot Airport to catch your onward flight.
