Beijing Station, also known as Beijing Railway Station, is located within the Second Ring Road, to the south of East Chang'an Avenue, to the north of the original Beijing Inner City Wall, and between Chongwenmen and Dongbianmen.
As an important part of the Beijing railway hub, Beijing Station mainly handles trains going to the East and Northeast via the Beijing-Shanghai and Beijing-Harbin lines. In addition, it also handles international through-passenger trains to Moscow in Russia, Ulaanbaatar in Mongolia, and Pyongyang in North Korea.

There are 4 exits at Beijing Railway Station subway station: Exit C (one-way exit) and Entrance D (one-way entrance) are located on Beijing Station Square. Passengers arriving at the station who need to transfer to another subway line can enter the station through Entrance D on the west side of the square.

History of Beijing Station
Beijing Station was first established in the twenty-seventh year of Emperor Guangxu's reign in the Qing dynasty (1901), originally located to the east of Zhengyangmen City Wall. It was completed in the twenty-ninth year of Guangxu's reign (1903) and was formerly known as "Zhengyangmen East Station" of the Beijing-Tianjin Railway (Zhengyangmen East Station).
On September 30, 1949, it was renamed "Beijing Station". In October 2019, it was designated as a key national cultural relic protection unit by the State Council in its eighth batch.
- In the 27th year of Emperor Guangxu's reign (1901), the Qing Government signed the "Boxer Protocol". Britain forcibly extended the railway from Yongding Gate to Qianmen to facilitate military transport and strengthen control over Beijing. The "Zhengyangmen East Railway Station" at Qianmen was the precursor of Beijing Station.
- In the 29th year of Emperor Guangxu's reign (1903), the Zhengyangmen East Railway Station was completed and opened.
- In 1906, the station building was officially completed and put into use with the full name "Jingfeng Railway Zhengyangmen East Station". Afterward, the name of Beijing Station changed several times.
- In 1937, after the Marco Polo Bridge Incident, the Japanese army occupied the station and renamed it "Qianmen Station".
- On June 10, 1938, it was renamed again as "Beijing Station".
- In 1945, Japan announced its unconditional surrender. The station was renamed "Beijing Station" in October of the same year.
- In 1946, it was once again renamed to "Beiping East Station".
- In 1949, Beiping was peacefully liberated. On September 30, Beiping East Station was officially renamed Beijing Station.
