Subway
Beijing South Railway Station's subway station connects with Beijing Subway Line 4 and Line 14. The subway station hall is situated in the center of the first underground floor interchange hall, with the Line 4 platform on the second underground floor and the Line 14 platform on the third underground floor.
Within the subway fare zone at Beijing South Station, the exit towards the north hall is labeled as Exit A, the exit towards the south hall is labeled as Exit C, and on the east and west sides, they are designated respectively as Exit B1, Entrance B2, and Entrance D.

Beijing South Railway Station consists of a total of 5 levels, with 2 above ground and 3 underground, with the platforms located at ground level. The layout includes the following: elevated waiting hall, platform and track Level, transfer hall, Beijing Subway Line 4, and Beijing Subway Line 14 platforms.
- 2 F - The elevated waiting level: features a central standalone waiting area with ticket offices at each of the four corners. Entrance halls are located on the east and west sides, and various waiting areas are arranged from north to south.
- 1F - Platform and Track Level.
- -1 F - The transfer hall: features the subway fare zone at its center, with taxi waiting areas on the east and west sides. Towards the sides, there are intermediate floors for parking private vehicles. Bus stops are situated on both the northern and southern sides of the first underground level.
- -2 F - Beijing Subway Line 4.
- -3 F - Beijing Subway Line 14.
Entering and Exiting Beijing South Railway Station
Beijing South Railway Station implements real-name verification for entry. Passengers are required to carry their identification documents for identity verification when entering the station.
Entering the Station
- Passengers traveling by subway or private vehicles parked in the underground parking lot can enter through the ticket inspection hall on the first underground level or take elevators on the south and north sides to the second-floor waiting hall for ticket inspection.
- Passengers using public buses, taxis, or private vehicles parked on the outer peripheral roads or arriving on foot can go to the second-floor waiting hall for ticket inspection by taking elevators from the south or north entrance gates on the first floor.
- Passengers arriving by taxi or private vehicles parked on the second-floor drop-off platform can directly enter the second-floor waiting hall for ticket inspection through the east or west entrance gates.
- A new taxi drop-off area has been added at the North Square of Beijing South Station. Passengers arriving by taxi can walk from the North entrance to enter the station
Exiting the Station
Passengers exit the station from the first underground level, odd-numbered exits are located on the north side of the station while even-numbered exits are on the south side. In the transfer hall on the first underground floor, passengers can choose to exit by taking the subway, surface buses, taxis, or other means of transportation.
A taxi dispatch station is also available at the North Square of Beijing South Station for passengers to take a taxi from the western dispatch station after exiting from the north exit of Beijing South Station.
Passengers can also take public buses from the south and north bus hubs to exit the station.
Ticket Collection at Beijing South Railway Station
At Beijing South Railway Station, both the transfer hall on the first underground level and the waiting hall on the second floor are equipped with manual and self-service ticketing systems. There are four ticketing halls and 88 automatic ticket vending/collecting machines available.
Ticketing Hall 1 provides public security certificate services, while Ticketing Halls 1 and 3 offer services for ticket changes and refunds.
Luggage Storage
Beijing South Railway Station offers luggage storage facilities for passengers. The luggage storage area is located on both the east and west sides of the security check area on the second-floor waiting area, as well as in the East 1 and East 2 passages on the first underground level.
There are two types of storage lockers available: large and medium sizes.
Passengers can choose different locker sizes based on the size of their luggage for storage. For example, for a large locker: 15 RMB for up to 7 hours, 25 RMB for up to 12 hours, and 40 RMB for up to 24 hours.

The design of Beijing South Railway Station incorporates traditional cultural elements of classical architecture such as the "triple-eaved".
The station building of Beijing South Railway Station has a hyperbolic paraboloid dome structure with an elliptical shape that resembles a flying saucer when viewed from afar. When seen from the north and south directions, the central main station slightly rises, with two cross steel canopy structures on the east and west sides, resembling the horizontally stretched Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests.
