Pazhou Ferry Terminal: Nearest Port to the Canton Fair Complex
Pazhou Ferry Terminal is located at 499 Yuejiang Middle Road, Haizhu District, Guangzhou. It is one of Guangzhou's open ports and also one of the ports offering the 240-hour visa-free transit.
Because it is only 500 meters away from the Canton Fair complex on foot, most business travelers coming to the Canton Fair choose to enter or leave China through this port.
Pazhou Port Ferry Timetable
Pazhou Ferry Terminal operates a round-trip ferry to and from Hong Kong Sky Pier. Traveling from Pazhou to Hong Kong International Airport, you can check in and check your baggage at the port.
For passengers traveling from Hong Kong International Airport to Pazhou, you can take the ferry without needing a Hong Kong visa.
For passengers going to Hong Kong Airport, you need to arrive at the counter on the 2nd floor of the ferry terminal 90 minutes early. You can check in your luggage or claim your departure tax refund.
Please note that ticket sales and check-in will commence 40 minutes before the ferry departs. Boarding gates close 30 minutes before departure. You cannot board once the gates are closed.
You must have a flight ticket departing from Hong Kong Airport on the same day to buy a ferry ticket. But this rule does not apply to the trip from Hong Kong Airport to Pazhou.

Entry Process from Hong Kong to Pazhou Ferry Terminal
After you arrive at Hong Kong Airport, buy a ferry ticket to Pazhou Port. Then you can take the ferry directly from SkyPier at the airport to Pazhou Port. You do not need to go through Hong Kong immigration or pick up your luggage.
Exit Process from Pazhou Ferry Terminal to Hong Kong
Buy a ferry ticket to Hong Kong Airport in advance at the Pazhou Port ticket counter. On the day of travel, arrive at the port 90 minutes early to complete check-in. After going through China Customs, take the ferry to Hong Kong Airport, and then wait for your flight to depart.
Pazhou Port Luggage Allowance
From Pazhou to Hong Kong Airport: Passengers with an Economy Class ferry ticket can check in 1 piece of luggage for free. The weight must not exceed 23 kg.
Passengers with a First Class ferry ticket can check in 2 pieces for free. Each piece must not exceed 32 kg.
If your luggage is overweight or you have extra pieces, each extra piece costs CNY30. Also, the total size (length + width + height) of each piece must not exceed 158 cm.
From Hong Kong Airport to Pazhou: You can check in 1 piece of luggage for free. For the second piece and each additional piece, there is a fee of 60 HKD per piece.

By Bus: Take Bus B7, Night 108, or Tourist Line 1. Get off at the Convention and Exhibition Center North Station. Then walk 70 meters.
By Subway: Take Metro Line 11 or Line 8. Get off at Pazhou Station. Exit from exit K. Then walk 900 meters.
By Train: Both the Pazhou Intercity Railway and the Guangzhou East Ring Intercity Railway stop at Pazhou Station. You can take the intercity train from Panyu Station or Baiyun Airport to Pazhou Station. Take Exit K. Then walk 900 meters.
By Tram: Take Haizhu Tram Line 1. Get off at Convention and Exhibition East Station. Then walk 300 meters.

Take a Taxi: Takes 35 minutes and costs CNY80.
By Bus: Take Bus 301A to Luoxi Bridge Foot Station 2. Then transfer to Bus B7 and get off at the Convention and Exhibition Center North Station. Then walk 130 meters. Takes 1 hour and 40 minutes and costs CNY5.
By Train: From Panyu Station (near Guangzhou South Railway Station), take S4720 to Pazhou Station. Takes about 60 minutes. A second-class seat costs CNY40.

By Subway: Take Metro Line 3 to Guangzhou East Station. Then transfer to Metro Line 11 (inner circle) and get off at Pazhou Station. Takes 70 minutes and costs CNY8. Take Exit K and walk 900 meters.

By Subway: Take Metro Line 4 to Wanshengwei Station. Take Exit C. Then transfer to Haizhu Tram Line 1 and get off at Convention and Exhibition East Station. Then walk 300 meters. Takes 80 minutes and costs CNY12.
Do You Need a Visa to Enter China from Pazhou Ferry Terminal
Pazhou Port is one of the designated ports for the 240-hour visa-free transit. If you are a citizen of one of the 55 eligible countries and meet the conditions for visa-free transit, you can enter China through Pazhou Port without a visa.
China has mutual visa exemption agreements with 31 countries and offers unilateral visa-free access to citizens of 55 countries. If you are from one of these countries and hold a passport valid for more than six months, you can also enter China through Pazhou Port without applying for a visa.
