Suzhou Railway Station is the only comprehensive railway station for the general railway, intercity railway, train, and high-speed railway. It enables passengers to complete convenient transfers with railways, buses, taxis, and other means of transport without leaving the station.

Train Journey from Shanghai to Suzhou
Suzhou is located on the Shanghai–Nanjing intercity high-speed railway; more than 200 high-speed trains are run between Shanghai and Suzhou, from early in the morning till late at night.
Most trains start from Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station; others start from Shanghai Railway Station and Shanghai South Railway Station. There are also more than 50 ordinary trains that run from Shanghai Railway Station and Shanghai South Railway Station to Suzhou every day.

Traveling from/to Suzhou Train Station to/from Other Places
Humble Administrator's Garden: You can take bus 9016 East from the North Square Bus Station to Qimen Bus Station (2 stops), and then walk for around 20 minutes to get to the garden.
Lion Grove Garden: This is close to the Humble Administrator's Garden, so you could take bus 9016 East from the North Square Bus Station to Suzhou Museum Station / Lion Grove Garden Station (3 stops), and then walk around 10 minutes to reach your destination.
North Square Railway Station: Go to Platform B2 and take Metro Line 2 directly to the North Square Railway Station.
Tongli Water Town / Zhouzhuang Water Town: You could take a long-distance bus from the North Square Bus Station. There are many coaches bound for Tongli, Zhouzhuang, and other water towns every day.
Wuxi Shuofang International Airport: This is the nearest airport to Suzhou; the long-distance bus from the North Square Bus Station takes you directly to the airport.
Useful Travel Tips
You don’t need to leave the station to take the metro. Just go to Platform B2 to take Line 2 and Platform B3 to take Line 4.
