Hohhot is a famous city outside the Great Wall with a history of more than 400 years, distinctive national characteristics, and many historical sites. There are many attractions on the outskirts of the city. Cows and sheep are everywhere, birds and flowers are scented. There are more than 50 various temples here.

Dazhao Lamasery

The Dazhao Lamasery is a royal temple with a silver Buddha made of thirty thousand taels of silver. The temple belongs to the Gelug Sect of Tibetan Buddhism (the Yellow Sect in Lamaism), and is the first Lamaism temple built in Hohhot.

Inner Mongolia Museum

The Inner Mongolia Museum is located in the center of Hohhot, the capital of the autonomous region. It is the only autonomous regional-level comprehensive museum in the entire region and the earliest museum established in ethnic minority areas across the country.

Xilituzhao Palace

Xi Litu is Mongolian, meaning "chief" or "throne". Xi tried to call the Han name "Yanshou Temple", which was bestowed by Kangxi. The Zhao is located at the north end of Shitou Alley, Yuquan District, Hohhot, with the seat facing south.
